INTRODUCTION

Garden of the Gods is a beautiful park in Colorado Springs, an hour and a half from Denver.  There, you can see wonderful red rocks, all with different colors and forms. This park is very big and very appropriate for enjoying nature.

In the Garden of the Gods people can have a fun day.  One ofthe advantages is the free parking. Then, you might go on a tour around the park.  Also you can go mountain biking, hiking, shopping, or just walk around the park to see the nature.  Finally, you may have a picnic with your friends or family. 

For your information, this place is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., seven days a week.    The entrance to Garden of  the Gods doesn't cost, but if you want to take a tour bus around the Park, you will pay $ 3.75 for adults and $ 2.50 for children age 5-12.

Directions

We live in Clarkson & 5th. First, take north on Clarkson St. Then, take a left onto 8 Av. towards west. When 8 Av. becomes Santa Fe, keep right and take 6 Av. towards west. Take the exit to I-25 south. After that keep going south 59 miles approximately. Then take the Garden of the Gods exit, exit number 146. Once you are on the road the last step is to turn left onto N 30th St. After all this trip you would be in the Park and you can take the different roads to see the beauty of The Garden of the Gods.

The two interviews I did about the Garden of the Gods were good.  The two people answered all my questions in the best way they could and with kindness.   They talked to me with good pronunciation and sometimes they had to repeat their answers, so I can copy them correctly.

1. When was your first time at The Garden of the Gods?

It was probably twenty years ago.  (green - Tom's answers)

It was back in April this year.   (red - Johanna's answers)

2. Who did you go with to Garden of the Gods?

I went with my girlfriend.

I went with some friends.

3. What did you like the most?

Just the rock formations and beautiful scenery.

The color of the rocks and the shape of them.

4. Have you been back at The Garden of the Gods?

Yes, probably three or four times.

Yes, I went three weeks ago with my mom and my brother.

5. Do you think that The Garden of the Gods will be always on your mind?

I'll never forget it.  It is one of my favorite parks.

Yes, it will.  It’s a nature wonderful place.

6. Do you think the name “The Garden of the Gods” is appropriate?  Why?

Yes.  Because it is beautiful, so I think the gods went on vacation there long ago.

Yes, I do.  Because it’s a beautiful place that just God could make.  

7. Will you advise other tourists and your friends to go to “The Garden of the Gods”?

Yes, sure.  I want to ride horses in Garden of the Gods.  Everyone should visit there!

Yes, I will.
